Installed an E90 Clutch Slave Cylinder (Part# 21526785964) to delete the CDV. It's plug and play and doesn't require any modification so I decided that was a better route to go (rather than drilling out the stock restrictor). I definitely feel a big difference in clutch engagement. Not only is it beneficial when slamming gears quickly but it also makes slow shifts in traffic feel much smoother and less jerky.
