It's all about the driver.
The M2c is down about 100 HP against these GT3s (most likely PDK) and look what the driver can achieve even with manual transmission which is definitely slower on track than DCT.

The M2 driver was very good. Though realize particularly with a car like a gt3(RS) due to resale value, a lot of owners go to the track just to open up, they realize hard track use is hard on a car. Even thought the GT3 is the bottom of the super car entry some owners thrash on track and some owners daily drive and go to the track for some speed and fun but not race.
