It's all about the driver.
The M2c is down about 100 HP against these GT3s (most likely PDK) and look what the driver can achieve even with manual transmission which is definitely slower on track than DCT.

Go watch at videos from Alex Hart back 4+ years ago on his E8x 130i.
You will see him overtake...pretty much everyone (including track prepped E46 M3s, E92 M3s several GT3s), in cases when he could not overtake due to power, he was constantly behind them (it is a 258hp N52 engine FYI).
A well setup car AND a good driver = win.
