Posting a review of the process that I went through with the services provided by
kubax86. I want to give a huge thank you for the very reasonable cost and ease of communication!!
My software version was originally NBTevo_M which meant that I had to flash an update in order to be able to activate full screen CarPlay. Rather than go through the dealer and possibly have to jump through some hoops, I reached out to kubax86 who came highly recommended by the F8X guys.
Kubax was able to flash my head unit alone and leave my BM3 tune unaffected. This process took about an hour and now I am on NBTevo_P. I did lose my coding done by BimmerCode but that's not a big deal since I didn't have anything too fancy and I can re-do it. Pic below of the flashing process:
Once the flashing was complete we then proceeded with the full screen carplay patch! A quick ~5 min process. I'll let the results speak for themselves
