Several airbags deployed. The steering wheel airbag didn't. All depends on parameters serving one common goal: offering the best protection for those on board either by deploying or by not-deploying.

Granted , I do not understand the parameters for airbag deployment.
It's just surprising and sad that they can't develop the technology that offers a more perfect cocoon in the accident cockpit
