Original F87 M2, M2 Competition and M2 CS: I knew a couple of things about these cars quite some time before their official release. The future will tell whether the same applies to the G87 M2 (maybe / maybe not).
And, of course, during development things can take a turn: accurate info at some point in time can become outdated. For example: as we now know, the F87 M2 Competition features 302 kW (410 hp) and has BMW model code '2U71' (EURO-spec LHD), '2U72' (EURO-spec RHD) and '2U73' (US-spec). Well, now look what BMW M badge was apparently supposed to adorn the boot of that car:
