My Lotus experience has been effectively summarized here. Awesome car on the track. Killer at autocross. Sucks big time for any other thing. I replaced my Elise with an E46 M3 and never shed a tear. I replaced my E46 M3 with an M2, and I have shed a tear (not that I don't love the M2, I just wish I'd kept both).
