You are right, I'm sure the M2 is an example of a real sports car (AKA one of those models BMW came out with a few years ago when they started watering down the M name).
The M2 isn't a full-on sports car, but it's a hell of a lot closer than an M5 lol. I drove a couple laps in an M5C on track last year right after driving an M4 ZCP and the mass of the M5 is quite noticeable as is the numb feeling in comparison. The M2 feels even better than the M4. No one is arguing which is faster. If you don't understand feel then please just stick to your executive sedans. I'm sure your 4500lb AWD automatic transmission sedan is more of an M car than an M2, lol. How clueless can one be?

The M2/M3/M4 are the heaviest BMWs I would ever consider buying.
Great, you drove a M5 for basically 5 minutes and know it all.

WTF is the point of mentioning how heavy something is? Especially when it's faster. 0-60, 0-100.....what does it matter? It's a second minimum slower then these big boats. Then WTF are you paying $60k for? A "sports car" that really isn't that fast....let alone what other cars you could get for $60k. If you are going to pay $60k for an extra level M car, at least get one that competes with the competition.

Stop acting like a friggin M2 is BMW's crown jewel. Oh, wait, you drove a couple laps in a M5 once.

I hope your being sarcastic...
You're missing his point... it's about feel, and fun. M2C has it all over the M5 in those categories. You like the M5, good for you, but it doesn't have the feel, it's a boat, great if you put lots of highway miles on it. Pretty much what the guys both said in the video. I've driven M3's, M4's and M5's, and IMHO, nowhere near as much fun as my M2C.
