I just received a MA Number Plate Permit (
https://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/32190...etter-9-13.pdf) last week for another vehicle, but I threw the form away. There was an expiration at the top, but I don't recall -- I would be shocked if it was 2 years since it's only until the replacement plate arrives.
According to this source, the plate permit is only valid for 60 days:

"for the duplicate plate order... the plate permit will be valid for 60 days, but the customer can order an extension in myRMV."
I know a bunch of things have changed since RMV ATLAS Release 2 which occurred in November 2019.
