Speaking of high service costs, I got the oil and filter changed on my '17 M2 here in Germany at the nearest BMW dealer. Full service history is very important here for resale. I plan to sell the car when my assignment here is over in the fall of next year. Just the Oil and Filter plus 2 "free" espresso's cost me nearly 700 Euro.
I did the oil changes on all our cars back home, and there is no reason it should cost more than $40 in parts. I was stunned. What a ripoff. Just so I can view the service on the iDrive.
