I always find the comments about what type of men like Corvettes. I respect your opinion. I bought my first Corvette new in 1991 and I was 25 years old. I wish I had more pictures but they were lost in a house fire. The attached picture is from 1991 and I was bracket racing my 1991 C4 and I was consistent in the quarter mile and I took first place even though I was not fastest but I dialed in my C4 at 13.7 seconds for the quarter mile at MIR.

So over the past 53 years I have owned more Corvettes and my current play car is a 2018 BMW M5 (F90). Prior to the F90 I had a 2015 BMW M3 that I purchased new in July of 2014 that replaced a 2014 C7 Z51. One of my favorite Corvettes was my 2012 Z06/Z07.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I believe there is more to vehicles then just looks alone. I will say I had more people asking me why I transitioned from the C7 Z51 to the 2015 M3 (F80). My wife's co-workers at her school loved the looks of our C7 and C6 Z06/Z07.

My wife is again considering the M2C and before the holidays our dealership loaned us a 2020 M2C for a week. It was a fun car to drive but we consider the rear seats to be unpractical for transporting adults. We are in our 50's and even though I fit in the back at 5'10" at 185 pounds it is not a seat I would want to sit in very long. I am not a fan of the rear styling of the M2 and after owning our F80 M3 the side profile of the M2 just looks out of place. In our opinion the F80 is the best looking of the bunch. I am trying to talk her into a new M4.

The C8 in the 1LT (base) will sell for 60k and most 2020's have already been sold to the best of my knowledge. I could have ordered a C8 at MSRP with no mark up but I am waiting for the C8 Z06 before I make my decision. I think test driving a C8 will be difficult this year because of the popularity.

The Corvette has always been the best bang for the buck. I am looking forward to the testing and review of the C8 in the upcoming year.

I will say you can't go wrong with either vehicle. Vehicles like the M2 and Corvette are about passion / driving and not about going from A to B.
