I live in BC but am down in WA often. We also get the same weather as you guys. I ran XICE3 on my other cars and never had issues. This year i'm running Conti WinterContact TS830P which are on BMW 640M winters. For a winter tire they handle very well and I had no issues going up a local mountain for skiing. Apparently these are similar to the Alpin PA4's being labeled as a "performance winter"
