From reading around I thought single use bolts were used in critical parts that are highly loaded like a cylinder head. Not a brace which will largely be sheer forces and some tension well within limits of the bolts themselves.

That’s mostly for liability issues. So they don’t get sued if someone said “well you never said to replace any bolts”. It can never hurt but is it really necessary, no. I have reused all the screws I have driven for many thousand miles without any issue for what it’s worth.
