I don't know whether this is entirely technically correct, as it strikes me that the M2 is "awake" anyway as I'm able to send it commands from the phone app (e.g. turn on the ventilation). I note that the advice was offered in relation to the X6 (and not the M2).

Just sharing the SouthernBM suggestion as its the process I follow
