I offer they're two completely different vehicles. The M3/4 has become more of a GT car in some regards. Also, for those looking for the "analog" experience, the F87 M2C is one of the last.
Don't get me wrong, I still would love to experience the new M3/4. But it does not fall into the same vain as the previous E46, E36 and E30s of the past.
And lastly, the G series M will not be available until early 2021 and the competition after that.
My perspective, but happy to hear everyone else's thoughts.
