i picked my car up in Jan 2019. swapped the MPSS with Pirelli SottoZero - 255 square set up. was able to drive the car 400 miles in a wintery mix. we had a mild winter. i probably will not even consider using it in deep snow. i have the option to work from home which makes it easier. another choice would be to rent an AWD vehicle if a chance of heavy snow is expected.
