Comp, M2 CS, M2 CSL hierarchy already that also includes an M2 SEDAN and an M2 convertible is because BMW AG was skeered.
Skeered of what would happen to their sacred cow 3/4 series .... and that's how they lost the luxury car sales crown to Mercedes.
