Q1: When I was a kid in the late 80s, I recall riding around in the back seat of my grandparent's friend's BMW. I don't remember which model/year, but I just remember the luxurious interior and sleek exterior styling when compared to the LARGE Chevy Caprice Classics in my family.
Always stuck with me. Then the E46 came out. Fell in love. Couldn't afford one but decided a bimmer was a goal. Finally bought a 2009 E90 and thought it was the greatest car ever. Loved how it handled and how that I6 sounded. Plus i could get one in a manual.
Q2: No regrets, other than trading her in too soon for an F30. I love that my childhood experience ultimately lead me to the M2!
