After these little mods, It was time for the biggest of them all. Mounting up the PA system and the Roof-mounted 50-inch lightbar. Here is how we did it.

LIGHTBAR:
Fitment: What we did is fabricate brackets out of Steel and bent them using a vice. As the roof slopes and we wanted the lightbar to remain straight we had to compensate by tapering the bracket at 9% in order to keep the bar level. We used thick rubber underneath the mounting plate when attaching the bracket to the roof in order to spread the moment of inertia to the rubber rather than just on the 1 roof rack hole. this spreading of pressure away from the single screw hole allow for the bar to be far stronger and not flex at high speeds.

Wiring: As we were not interested in drilling through the roof of the M2 we decided to run the wires down the roof and into the trunk. Using quick fit connectors we allowed for the lightbar to be removed and reinstalled in less than 5 minutes. The wires were hidden under the floor of the car and routed to the battery. We then ran the wires under the floor up to the front of the car for the control panel. After removing the ash try we had a perfect spot to mount the controller and attached the panel into this area using double-sided tape for easy removal if needed.

PA SYSTEM:
Fitment: The only reasonable place the PA system was going to go was directly behind the front bumper. We experimented with hiding it behind the headlight but the speaker was too bulky. We drilled 2 holes through the crash bar and mounted the speaker as far back as possible.

Wiring: We ran the wires through the firewall, under the floor and into the trunk to the battery. from the battery, we ran the wiring for the PA controller back under the floor and back seats, up into the center console and out through a small hole right next to the handbrake. This makes the controller very accessible and it is not in the way of anything.
