I remembered that someone else had asked the same, tried to look for it but 14 pages...
It does seem a little odd and calls into question it's reliability that a topic with this many eyes on it would only have one person get info, drop it here and then vanish.
A connection that I have at BMWNA said awhile back "in the 70's" which I remember reading a few other people corroborating at their dealers.
This has gone on too long, just release all of the details already!
