Yes, tin can noise if you are under 50% throttle under 3 k rpm with catless, but anything else sounds mental.
With the standard exhaust, if you did wot in neutral, and let it go at 3k rpm it would make that god awful s55 sound, it was not pleasant.
Why didn't bmw atleast try to improve it? We will never know, since the new s58 sounds better. Bmw answer is just buy the performance version in Titanium... yes we don't need more of that sound.
