Service intervals are determined by time or CBS. Mileage is a rough estimate at best.

I have a hard time believing that I drove my M2 3x harder than normal to warrant spark plugs at 16k instead of 45k, while the same system only recommending 2 oil changes since the car was new. Something is screwy if that's the conclusion CBS comes to.

And if it's time based, I have a hard time believing spark plugs should be changed every 1.5 years.

Also to note, iDrive never told me I needed spark plugs and a intake filter. So I wouldn't have known if I wasn't told that by the dealership. For example, if I go to my regular mechanic after my warranty is up.

And, on a lesser note, my intake filter is about 4 months old.

At the end of the day, only way I would know for sure if I needed new spark plugs is if I was experiencing misfires... which I wasn't. Or by looking at the condition of the plugs, which I didn't ask for them to show me so they're probably in the trash by now.
