If you have a undamaged terminal tang on the red wire then you can just plug it into the correct spot... but most damage it taking it apart. Look it over good. So then you only need the green plug
In the past when most with new units had intermittent BT issues it was due to them not having the red wire all the way into the plug...just a FYI
I never had issue one....it worked perfect
