May be off-topic. Is this software manipulation also done for 6MT? In other words, can one expect any change in performance after 1200 mile service? Not sure anyone on these forums has definitively stated improved performance post breakin. Responses seem to be mixed which is what leads me to wonder if the 6MT, without launch control option, has any software restrictions in place during breakin period? |
Yes, was done on my 6MT as well. It's like giving the car a shot of adrenaline, behavior changed more than I was expecting, got much more "snappy".
Is it a huge change in performance? No. Is it noticeable enough to make a difference? Absolutely.
