I love my M2 but I can't ignore that the basic car is already dated so the M2CS which won't be released for some time yet making it more dated on arrival just seems like poor value (I suppose this will depend ultimately on pricing which has yet to be determined) to me when the next gen M3/M4 is around the corner and should outperform it but that's my opinion of course.
I think there are a few reasons an M2CS is a compelling car to consider:

MT guaranteed (been some wavering on that front for the next gen M3/4, not sure about next gen M2)
Last M DCT (no matter how they spin it, I wouldn't want a ZF slushbox, which is what everyone gets going forward)
Culmination of BMW's efforts and combined knowledge for S55 and F series chassis.
M3/4 ZCP tune (I have an F80 ZCP, the engine is a monster)
CF roof and other CF parts from the factory (not installed by Bud or Mac from your local dealer)
763Ms as standard
