At 5-8% of the car's cost, it's really up to you. You can read up about the coating and while it'll give you a shine, it won't prevent dings and chips. There are also rules to follow in order for the warranty to work, like no car washes etc etc.
I decided to pass. I'll get over my new car pretty soon and stop worrying about the perfect looking paint. I've decided to hand wash this car. Let's see how long this lasts...LOL! My car is always garaged whether at home or at work so my cars usually ends up looking nice even years later.
