sometimes it be like that…I had my whole front end apart trying to install a “direct fit/drop in” race intercooler…Eventually the vendor and supplier confirmed that they never tested in on an m2…but said it would fit. Spent like 5+hrs thinking it was us..But got full refund.
If you can return it…i would look into the block off plate and top mounted bov..easier to service in the future
