Even though the wheels are staggered 9" rear and 8.5" front, they came with 255/35-19 Continental Winter tires mounted. No rubbing on mine.
I'm also in CT and if I had my preference, I would have gotten 235 width tires because they should be better in snow. But honestly, I avoid snow driving if possible with this car and basically just got the extra set of wheels and tires for the cold weather. Totally happy with them.
