Definitely get real winter tires - they aren't just for snow, your stock tires just don't work below 40. Nokian Hakkepeliitas are the best, but may not have exact sizes - I run studded ones on my winter car and they are phenomenal (studs retract on dry pavement for a typical winter tire traction; but on black ice you will be the only person not kissing the guardrail). If you are getting a dedicated winter wheel set, go narrower.
And driving in winter will definitely add corrosion damage on your car (all the fasteners, brake hardware, etc). If you have another option that keeps the M inside for the salt season it would be worth doing that.
