I'd recommend driving the M2 and see what you think. Since you already have a truck, I'd lean towards the M2 if it's more of a fun car. They are quite different cars. The M240i would be a much better daily, M2C is a far more special experience.
I'm in the area and there's 0 question which one I'd rather drive to enjoy the mountains:
