I had similar questions and was considering 18's vs 19's as well! Due to tire availability, cost, and potential resell ease, I think I will go with 18's with beefier sidewall to minimize some of the fender/wheel gap. The +20 offset does seem quite low, on the Volk website (at least for 18" TE37 Sagas) they recommend 18x10.5 +30.
