It's as easy as cutting the zip ties holding the hose and loosen the hose clamps. If you're changing tires (winter/summer) is really easy to install/remove everything once you get the hang of it, it's like 30 minutes per side tops. So not worth the risk of damaging the ducts during winter in my opinion.
