Hard wired a battery tender... I didn't like the idea of opening the hood each time to use a battery tender so instead of using the clips on the charging points I used the rings. Charging point screws remove easily using a METRIC allen wrench. Lots of swearing was going on until I found the right tool.
Found an extension cable for use with the BMW charger on Amazon... I ran the extension along the hood up the base of the wipers. The end of the extension is capped so it's waterproof.

Once I figured out all the pieces it was a 5 minute job! Now all I need to do to charge the battery is remove the end of the extension and plug the other end of the charger into it. Much better than opening and closing the hood each time
