I guess you guys only have a regular old M2 Competition UNTIL you put the performance parts, then it gets performance! oh BMW...
On a more serious note, I thought the whole "M Performance" thing was started with cars like my "M" 235i to bridge the gap between regular series and the M variants, kinda like how in the past the 335iS filled the gap between the regular 335i and the e92 M3.
I really don't get the need to put M Performance on anything made for the M2C, the CF parts they created stand out on their own, they don't need any special branding.

They are creating an "aftermarket" brand. So instead of buying from mode carbon or Remus, you are buying after market parts from M Performance. Ingenius way to tap into the active aftermarket parts industry and increase revenue.
