code clearing is no longer available in the USA for CARB certification. The only way to really get rid of the CEL is to get a flash tune for speed density tuning.

BMS doesn't sell performance products in California anymore, I don't believe they care about the CARB certificate. The auto-delete might be back on in the latest firmware revision.
I guess the heat from the flash tune competition made say 'F U California & Mother Nature, we gotta eat too..'
