I wanted the istep updated so I told them I was having all sorts of issues syncing my phone etc. (wasn't true however) and they did it. Looks like you won't have to bs about it though.
Depending on how 'friendly' your dealer is, you may want to restore your backups via bimmercode before taking car in.
