So if your car had front fog lights, the top switch would not be locked out, and would have the icon on the button indicating front fog lights. M2's don't have them. If you had a euro M2, most likely the rear fog lights are factory enabled, with the bottom switch activated, with a rear fog light icon on the button.

Got it. By the way, I did the rear fogs yesterday following your instructions. It's awesome to have a functioning button that was basically there all this time! I also kind of dig that "blank button" look.
