NOTE: There are some discrepancies between these guides with a) the exact coding options needed and b) if you need to splice the 3 brake wires.

I have parts on order and will be working on proving a 'plug and play' adapter loom to avoid the need to modify the existing loom.

UPDATE A: I was able to get my hands on a UK RHD LCI to read the coding BMW have use. The link below is to a spreadsheet detailing the differences from the pre LCI vs LCI: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gof7lh1sg8...-0.2.xlsx?dl=0 THESE VALUES HAVE BEEN APPLIED TO MY PRE-LCI AND CONFIRMED AS WORKING

UPDATE B: The 6 pin connector used on the LCI is a TE MCON 1.2 connector commonly available from your electronics supplier of choice. Unfortunately I have not been able to find the OE vendor for the 8 pin connector used on the pre LCI. I can buy the female connector from BMW but tracking a suitable male plug down is proving rather time consuming. Is anyone is able to assist in identifying the EO vendor?

In the end I abandoned the idea of a loom and choose to follow the directions above and re-pinned the existing wires to the new connector. I can confirm you DO NOT need to cut the three brake wire and solder them together. It will work with the BFD wire. I choose to remove the two remaining wires from the original plug, tape up the pins and seal them from the element in some adhesive heat shrink.
