I would spec the car exactly how YOU want it because in the end you're the one living with it and you should be happy with your purchase.
I personally love the slick top. My E46 and E92 had sunroofs and i wasn't a huge fan. While i would have loved a carbon roof a slick top is the next best option. I love how smooth it makes the interior and exterior look. Much cleaner in my opinion.
