The other thing is that dealers here wouldn't budge $1 on an RS3. Between that and only having the wrong transmission as an option, I couldn't go through with it. Just sold my '15 S4 and won't get another Audi.

Same as me! Had a deposit on both MY18 M2 and RS3 and couldn't deal with the Audi's DSG tranny... I'm a huge 6MT fan. Also, the rims/tires wider at the front was just plain weird to me...

In Canada, both the RS3 and M2 were within 1K$ price difference when fully loaded. RS3 was 70K (with almost every options checked) before taxes and the M2 I have on order is like 71-72K (with sunroof and M Performance exhaust).
Basically the same.
