I know, and that's certainly better than no option to turn it off at all. But I'm not sure how I feel about forcing drivers to turn off
all the nannies to do what is really one of the most fun parts of driving with a manual tranny.
Over time, once I got to know the car well and a particular track, I guess I'd feel comfortable enough to turn it all off. But for canyon carving on public roads--maybe not. I don't want to kill somebody because I wanted to rev match on my own and I hit a gravel patch or oil slick at speed and spun out.
