the only real alternatives to the M2, IMO, are:
(1) 1M
(2) F80 M3
Nothing else would really hit this specific practicality and performance ballpark IMO. NON-M models don't come near the enjoyment.
The choice between these 3 is purely a matter of preferences, tech, warranty/pricing, and doors!
