Long line and dents on hood

My 2008 e90 has several small dents on both sides of the hood near the crease. The dents are in the same location, just on opposite ends. Also. Two lines running across my hood. I took it to a very well expierenced PDR who worked on my cars for over 15 years, and he said he can't get to them because of the glue points under the hood. However, he could break the glue, then re glue it. He said this may affect the Integrity of the hood, and cause other small dents. My PDR also owners a collision shop, so I would say he knows what he's talking about. The dents are coming from under the hood. He said it could be preassure from closing the trunk causing the dents. I don't want to replace a hood, however, the dents, and the two lines running across are annoying me because there are so many. Has anyone had this problem? Thanks

Going this week to BMW collision center. I never saw somethings like this. I don't know how to post pictures. It's very difficult to see the dents, and lines running across my hood. Strange.

The pdr guys I use will glue pull something if access to the back of a panel is hindered. As with any profession, there are pdr techs that are exceptional.

My pdr guy said he could pull out the glue spots. However, he didn't recommend doing so. I have confidence BMW collision will take care of it. The dents and lines are difficult to see. Every time I walk to my car, I notice them. Bothers me. ChrisruF911 did you have a similar experience? Thanks.

At least the paint on the hood is fine. No scratches.

I have the exact same thing on my hood, two symmetrical clusters of small warped spots on opisite sides of my hood, in the exact same spot that look like dents but dont appear to be actual depressions. It almost looks like it may be where the aluminum was joined to the frame on the underside on the hood. I also have what look like faint lines or creases in my hood too.

Just lefted BMW collision center. The manager said its the glue frame that's attached to the hood skin causing the lines. He advised me to call BMWNA, and see what they can do to help. I called, and spoke to BMWNA, and now waiting for them to contact me. Hopefully they will help me with this issue. They asked me what the price of a new hood would be, and I told them $1,000-$1,500 based on what I was quoted by the manager at BMW.

Hoods are pretty cheap I've seen them on Amazon for like $250...Heck Amazon has a Carbon Fiber hood for $700 and you don't even have to paint it.

Best of luck

The lines, and dents are difficult to see. My E90 is JB, and I wash and wax it once a week. So, it's cleaned the majority of the time. On a darker color, it stands out a lot. Maybe those with JB, or another dark color check your hood near the wipers.
