My 2009 335i still running great 6 years later 114k miles
I love the new M3 sedan. But I just can't seem to fathom upgrading and spending another $71k.
This 335i is a blast to drive. Reliable as hell. I've owned it since day 1 with 4 miles on the odomoeter, custom ordered from Regensburg, Germany. I paid $54k for it out the door in 2009. So right now I'm averaging: $54,000/114k mi = 47.3 cents per mile. When I get to 180k miles, this car will have cost me just 30 cents per mile. Granted there were a few minor things needed: 1. water pump and thermostat 2. new shocks 3. spark plugs and coil packs 4. oil filter housing gasket 5. battery 6. oil filter housing gasket Believe it or not, I did everything myself, other than the shocks (had a shop do it) Everything else, is stock and running strong since day one. Running Mobil 1 0w40 from walmart. This car might just last me till the end of the F80 generation M3 life cycle, just in time for the next generation M3 perhaps?? |

Man that's a smaller, and cheaper, list of issues than I had with my E46 328i in a single year.
It did have 260 000km, but still... Good to know these cars can be reliable, hoping I have a good run with my 335i |
