0-200 km/h in 10s

That's faster than the M3/M4 and the F10 M5...

Nice find. That‘s even faster than M4 GTs?

Must be a typo

0-200kph is 14.2s. Add up the 0-62mph (0-100kph) and 62-124mph (100-200kph ) times and you get 14.2s. That does however make it 1.4s faster than the outgoing M2.

I think Non-ZCP M3 did it in 13.7sec in AutoBild's test.

According to Dragy, I ran 0-130 (0-210KPH) in 14.68 last night, 2018 M2 DCT, Wagner IC, VRSF Catless, BM3 Race Gas Tune, stock turbo

P.S. I cheated just a little, -1.92% slope

I don't think BMW ever released an official 0-200kph time for M3/M4. You can check out official technical spec here (http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=923444) but no mention of 0-200. Here are other 3rd party test results:

Car and Driver, Non-ZCP M4 DCT 0-130mph --> 14.5sec

Autozeitung, Non-ZCP M4 DCT 0-200 --> 12.9sec

Yeah, it's like M knew what they wanted to do, knew the price point would not pass corporate, and so decided that tearing off the roof and side panels after the delivery and replacing them with official M parts is the answer.

Snarky answer, I know, but this car wants to be two cars:

1. Standard M2C, heavier but more power; most people (including me) won't notice the weight on their DD

2. Light-weight M2C, carbon roof and fenders, for track use (and posers of course)

What do you want? In the end, I'm just glad the car is being built.

Nonsense the carbon roof is for fuel economy. It's clearly trying to save the polar bears

Pricing will be key. I have this horrible feeling that if you add the carbon goodies the price will shoot up at least $20k, maybe even more with installation. At $85-90k this would be DOA.

Let’s wait and see...

That's why a used M4GTS makes a ton of sense... Can pick one up in the high $80K. That's the car to get.

Only if you don’t need rear seats, and are ok with a very stiff suspension.

The best deal is a lightly used M3 or M4: lighter, cheaper than a new M2C, with a choice of stick or DCT, steel or carbon brakes, fancy colors and options etc.

But, the M2C may offer other benefits: nimbler, smaller etc. Time will tell, shortly.
