HoyaSaxa's 2018 M2 LCI European Delivery

Update:
Taking tons of pictures and may make a separate thread once I'm home (or edit this one). For now, just ran Stelvio in both directions, completely empty at sunrise. What a rush.

---

At the Welt now! Hanging out in the premium lounge, and just finished taking delivery of my M2! The car is already attracting attention!

Update: it's a busy day, but I'll try to add some more/better pictures later on.

For curious minds, the car came with PSS and "aluminum" trim under the CF dashboard trim piece

Nice! Will you get the break-in service done prior to the 'ring or are you planning on just cruising at advised breakin speeds?

Took an earlier allocation and a October Euro (the only time I could make it work) wouldn’t have worked out. Sucks. Maybe in a few years when I lease a four door.

OK.

This is where the cars come from, a "low-oxygen," automated, parking garage.

This is the room where it happens.

So far I've driven it at idle speed around the Welt and at no more than 50kph (31mph) between the Welt and my hotel. It sounds amazing on cold start, and it sounded great driving in the underground garage of my hotel. I've driven the car at Thermal and loved it, but I don't really have any new impressions based on my own car. Yet!

Sorry to hear that. Hope you will enjoy some photos!

People on here seem to care, so I thought I'd mention it. In any event, the PSS appear to be preferred to the Continentals, the only two tires offered on the car. I'll probably replace them with the new PS4S once these ones are gone, and then it will have brand new tires.

I plan to cruise at advised break-in speeds, although I will already have had my break-in service by the time I make it to the 'ring. I'll be happy if I can run flat-out on the Autobahn and get the car back home in one piece, without any damage. No need to prove what a mediocre driver I am on the green hell.
