They are LED but I'm curious, too, about what the innermost "globe" does.

I think the new tails are a nice improvement. The gauges don't look as pretty as the outgoing but given all the complaints about contrast it is better to be safe. There is barely a difference in DRL design; at night when the headlamps are on the LEDs should give less eyestrain vs xenon.

Does anyone know if the reverse sensor issue has been revised, save us having to do it? I can't see the cancel button!

Pre-LCI Owners - OMG. Nothing worth upgrading. I do like (insert small thing here) but absolutely hate the taillights. If anything is worthy of an upgrade it's probably to the CS (so LCI owners can feel the way that we do right now).

LCI deposit holders - OMG. Totally worth the upgrade. Glad I waited.

My opinion. Changes aren't noticeable unless you're an enthusiast.
non-enthusiasts can't tell the difference between 230i and M2.

Thanks, might be worth a trip to get some stuff fitted.

I've always had a soft spot for the 2-series and the M2 in particular. BMW did a nice job with this car. The 20-30 something's will continue to buy it.

We need some more interior shots of the overall dash and cluster. There's been enough pics of the front and tail lights.

Or you can just google an image of the old one and look in this thread for the new?

As a primary? I looked at them myself and found the trunk opening too small to fit two large pieces of luggage.

The 2er trunk will fit two pieces In a typical luggage set with one large roller to be checked and another roller that is carry-on sized. Source: owned a 2er and checked. I was also able to stack on top a second carry on sized bag if it wasn't too thick.

You're right that it is somewhat of a struggle to try to fit two of the checked-baggage size rollers. On the other hand, the seats go down so it's not a big deal.

For a sports car, I feel like the 2er has a massive trunk. Anything with more luggage space likely isn't a sports car. (Ignoring whether the M3/4 is a GT or a sports car)

Curious how a $1677.50 instrument cluster is $8500. Even with coding and programming included in the labor it wouldn't be $8500.
Or we can come to conclude that BMW want the first buyer to get it initially.

I agree with you. The cost to value is outrageous.

As someone who is about to own a LCI in 2 months...

The more pictures I see of the LCI tail lights the less I like them. The boomerang/L shaped pre-LCI lights gave volume to the back of the car. Made it seem wider. That illusion is lost on the 18.

Not the greatest pics but this guy just took delivery of his MY18 LCI M2 and he said it came with silver trim below the carbon fiber on the dash.It is supposed to be the high gloss black trim.

The third pic is from the official BMW M2 LCI pictures.

They're making the 2, 3, 4 and 5 series dashboards and center consoles look pretty much identical. Too much similarity across the line up imho.

Interesting. Same thing in the first post of this thread, actually. Are these all EU cars?
