They are LED but I'm curious, too, about what the innermost "globe" does.

I think the new tails are a nice improvement. The gauges don't look as pretty as the outgoing but given all the complaints about contrast it is better to be safe. There is barely a difference in DRL design; at night when the headlamps are on the LEDs should give less eyestrain vs xenon.

I've always had a soft spot for the 2-series and the M2 in particular. BMW did a nice job with this car. The 20-30 something's will continue to buy it.

As a primary? I looked at them myself and found the trunk opening too small to fit two large pieces of luggage.

You're right that it is somewhat of a struggle to try to fit two of the checked-baggage size rollers. On the other hand, the seats go down so it's not a big deal. For a sports car, I feel like the 2er has a massive trunk. Anything with more luggage space likely isn't a sports car. (Ignoring whether the M3/4 is a GT or a sports car) |

As someone who is about to own a LCI in 2 months...
The more pictures I see of the LCI tail lights the less I like them. The boomerang/L shaped pre-LCI lights gave volume to the back of the car. Made it seem wider. That illusion is lost on the 18. |
