Taiwan M2 Club Gathering

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi guys,

We had an M2 club event here in Taiwan over the weekend and would like to share some photos with you guys. Our pro photographer is still working on the nicer version... lol

We had a total of 20ish cars with some people leaving halfway through. As you can see, most are blue and white (the two popular colors; MG is the best IMO).

Slightly over 200 M2's sold here with more to come as there are still people on the waiting list...

It's a very popular car I guess for its size and performance. M2's here cost like US$ 110K and in other parts of Asia like China, Thailand etc... they cost even more.

Especially with Asians they love the white. Me being Asian myself I prefer Black over white and it's disappointing but yet not too surprising there is no BSM spotted.

Greats events and photos. Love the LBB, and the yellow stands out from the crowd.

Thank you for sharing!

I am surprised there aren't more whites. Taiwanese love white cars.

While I was there recently I walked by an used car dealer that was selling audis, bmws, Mercedes, and they were all whites!

No, but black is less popular on small cars. 90% of S class in Taiwan are all in black.

I was just over in Taipei (for Computex) with a couple of BMW Driving Instructors from the PDC. It was their first trip to Taiwan and they loved the country and the people. (No surprise to me...I've been coming to Taiwan for many years!)

Anyway, you guys need to set up some sort of track school at one of the local (2?) tracks in Taiwan. I know at least 2 PDC Instructors who I bet would love to come over and do an M school!

Thanks for sharing! Where in Taiwan is this? I go back to Taiwan about once every 2 years and have always wondered how to check out the car scene there and where the meetups usually occur.

It's a pity that we don't have any descent size racetrack here in Taiwan. I believe the one we got is a small F3 track with a bigger one building in progress, but it'll still be an F3 track. The government here isn't interested in supporting motorsport... it's a shame really.

For M school, it has to be supported by the BMW master dealer as well, but all they care about is making $$; after sales service sux balls and techs are bad at troubleshooting... so ultimately I don't think M school will ever happen here.
