Meisterschaft GTHAUS Exhaust Video and Review *downpipe video added*

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
So my Meisterschaft exhaust finally came in (thanks x-ph for dealing with my weekly update calls, you guys are an AWESOME vendor) and since the coverage/exposure of it has been on the lighter side I figured you guys would appreciate this.

I had EAS here in Anaheim do the install, took about 45 minutes and everything went on smoothly. This is just the midpipe back and not the full turbo back since I know they have the option for the full setup. I'm currently running stock down pipe and will be adding the Fabspeed catted downpipe next week.

Overall I'm happy with the exhaust, from the limited videos out there I think this choice was a great one to make, hopefully this will help others out.

I think this setup is the perfect balance between loud and tolerable for daily usage. No drone at any specific RPM range and slightly on the quiet side while cruising. Compared to the MPE I feel this one has a bit of a nastier tone to it and snarls a bit more sharply. While I wouldn't mind a carbon fiber tip, I feel these look just as good in their own way. Also, the welds were spectacular on it. All in all I'm highly impressed with it. The addition of the downpipe next week will be the icing on the cake. Have a listen and comment if you'd like.

Added a cold start video with the Fabspeed Catted Downpipe. Will do a driving video in the next few days. With the downpipe the cars sounds absolutely sinister and the backfires it makes sound like a M1 Garand rifle going off. The best part is how sporadic they are, the neighbors definitely love me for it. At least they'll all be on time for work since I leave at 6am lol. Also there is a noticeable torque increase through the midrange, has a bit more of a kickback and feels to rev a little bit more free. All in all it was money well spent IMHO.

Thanks bud, I'll post another video after the Fabspeed downpipe gets installed that you helped me out with last week.

Damn!!!! That is absolutely the exhaust I'd get if i didn't have neighbors who already hate me for having an exhaust that's too loud.

I love this exhaust and the music it makes, but I absolutely despise the flaps designed into the tips. I don't like that you can see them in your face rather than being more "hidden". Definitely love the sound it makes though and was a consideration, but those flaps just bother me from an aesthetic standpoint.

Good before and after video OP! Also that catted DP with this thing will make it sound NASTY, haha!!

I kinda felt the same way at first, but they have grown on me. The sound makes me forget about them anyways. And yeah I'm excited for the downpipe next week!

You can go with the black tip option to hide it a bit more.

AWESOME!! Thanks for that clip, I like hearing good exhaust nodes that are aftermarket for the M cars!

Fantastic-looking exhaust. Beautiful welds, like you said.
But man, I really don't need a louder exhaust.
Quiet neighborhood, and there is a 90dB limit at Laguna Seca.

sounds good. Interested to see how it sounds with the DPs. curious on why you are going with the catted DPs over cat-less DPs seeing the stock DPs are pretty much the same as catted aftermarket?

Not at all. Going from the stock 600cell cat down to 200cell gives you more noise and horsepower and less turbo lag without the need for a tune to get rid of a CEL. Also it doesn't smell like ass every time you get to a stop light with the windows down like it would with a fully catless set up.

I have one on my car and love it.

Finally, a proper muffler delete for the M2. Sounds way better than an M4! Enjoy your Korean exhaust system.

interested to see how it goes, keep me posted. seems to be very minimal if at all on the f8x platform from what others have been posting over there. looking forward to hearing OP thoughts!

side note for the OP, I drive by Lake Elsinor all the time when I go to Pechanga. Next time I roll through ill try to shoot you a buzz and we can maybe meet up. I have a fully modded M4 would be a cool little photo shoot and video of the two

The "nasty" smell is something you get used to very quick. Going Catted is the dumbest idea man, smarten up a little. Nice car, beautiful exhaust, but catted? c'mon man? You even have a proper manual. Go big or go home.

Nobody can convince me otherwise... @mrcheezle19

Nobody is trying to convince you otherwise. You should just be aware that some people have different preferences than you do. Having owned an e46m3 that had stock cats, a full bolt on 335i that was catless and now an M2 that is sport catted, i can definitively say i prefer the balance of a sport cat. I've been at both the all or nothing stages. And i like the middle.

Ohhhh yea! Daddy likey!

Sounds awesome. Enjoy!

Interesting that GT Haus is not offering the GTC system for the M2 yet. I figured that they would offer that first since it is one of their more popular exhausts.
