If you autocross or track at all I would highly recommend the package, otherwise , like most warranty items, more than likely you won't use it.
That's one thing I dislike about the warranties. At 36K your watching the iDrive hopping the wear sensor says to bring the car in for brakes before the service warranty runs out. That said they do let you bring the car in at a certain mileage before the car tells you, ~ 1-1.5K I think. Though I'm sure this varies greatly between dealers.

However, if you really autocross/track, you likely wouldn't replace rotors and pads with OEMs. I'm new to BMW though, so maybe they're higher performance?

Does everyone realize this is an M car? You'll be hard pressed to spec better components unless you're going overboard, e.g. BBK

And based on posts like DINAN's there is very little to be gained/improved upon especially with the M2

Did a session at homestead speedway and the weak point on this car as active autowerks has also stated is the brake pads. They were smoking after 1 session. Also when I went to the M track day BMW hosted they said the M2's were stock except the pads were M performance brake pads. I will get those or pagid and use for track days on the stock rotors etc.

Sorry yes track pads required for track. Should have said hard pressed for street.

BTW, loving the the tire temp thang.

Come on dude the dealer needs to make their 400% markup.

For 3200 you can buy a full set of new wheels and tires. These plans are all about dealer profit. If the customer gets "lucky" they get a tire replaced, expensive tire.

I eventually got the wheel/tire package for 3200, additional maintenance for 800 and windshield protection for 3 years.

How do you guys feel about what I got? Anything regrettable here? As for the loan I'm sure I can get a better rate at my bank.
Agree with much of what others have said...but to add to the pile-on, I'd drop the windshield coverage through BMW and get better insurance through whomever insures the car. No chance it would add $800 in premiums over the course of 3 years, and as others have said, it should allow you to replace your windshield with OEM glass with $0 deductible. And because it's comprehensive, replacement wouldn't affect your rates.

PNC just offered me 2.09, and if I open an account w/them they lower it an additional .25 percent. I doubt I'll find anything lower.

I had ~ 100 miles on the car and it decides to send me a notification that my 1200 mile service is due "soon" LOL. Must be some AI in there based on how I drive

Any who...for grins and giggles I decided checked the service warnings...which are estimating front brakes at 36K and rears at 39K. So back the OP's original topic would mean that I would be on the bubble for getting my brakes replaced under the BMW Ultimate Care+ for $600.

I'm sure this will change as I get some more miles on the car...BTW, we can add the BMW Ultimate Care+ anytime before the warranty expires, correct?

I think the price changes once you do it after the sale.

BMWFS was able to offer me a better rate than my bank, using my bank as the lender. i.e. they financed it through BofA. 1.99 was the rate, in case anyone is curious, for 60 months. BofA offered me 2.34%. I know that I probably could have gotten lower by haggling since I'm sure they can do better than 1.99% but it's not a big enough difference for me to bother.

I purchased the oil change package because it fit my needs based on how much I drive the car and when I would normally get oil changes based on personal oil change preferences (5-6k miles a year since my wife and I carpool to work in another car). I usually change my oil every 6 months because it's cheap insurance for performance and turbo motors. The oil changes have to be used before 50k miles at the payment rate I used but there is no expiration so I could use them in 10 years if I wanted to as long as I had less than 50k miles on the car.

I get 10 additional oil changes for $76 each ($764 prepayment) in addition to the scheduled oil changes. I don't agree with the 10k interval and the service and finance guys also said if I'm keeping the car a long time the n55 is prone to sludge at the 10k service interval at higher mileage.

Nice!! That's a really good rate on the M2!

I doubt those finance guys ever go around back. I had a N55 in my f30 and I followed the BMW service intervals and I had no issues. I also had a few track days with and autox days with it too. The only known issue I had with the N55 is one day I shifted hard from 1st to 2nd the charge pipe broke but that got replaced under warranty. Happened around 35k miles which was similar mileage with my friends. I sold car at about 80k miles last month.

I personally wouldn't have paid for the extra oil changes package. I don't know about where you are located but here they do it for a little less. Well it's $79 and then they send you coupons in the mail.

The package includes all fluids check and replace, which I didn't specify. So I will absolutely make sure they do diff and trans at least once during those 10 visits to get my money's worth. I'm sure I would get the deals in the mail too.

They saved me money on some other things so they can have a bone. For example, they contract to the wrap guy I use (clear bra) and let me use bmw cca discount on it if I went through them instead of direct so saved several hundred there. Wrap guy is totally cool with it since he gets all their business anyway.

Never heard of this? Thanks!!

Actually, looks like I don't need to pre-purchase but would expect price to rise.

My latest post right above yours has some additional clarification. Includes all fluids check/replace as well so it's a pretty good deal. Not sure if there's some other way to not pre pay. But you can also choose number of services, miles, etc. For example, you could pick 40 oil changes/fluid checks/replaces for 200k miles. Obviously it would cost more since you're prepaying for 40 but they have tons of options. I believe you could get this after the fact too but the price might be different based on if you took your car somewhere other than the dealer in question for intermediate oil changes.

Thanks. I'll check this out at my 1200 mile service.

This wasn't one of the things that the finance guy tried to sell me?

When I get home I'll grab the name off the paper so you have that. Might post pics/scans depending on how lazy I am.

I am surprised to see so many different %'s.

I really thought this was pretty standard thru the BMW dealers.

I had 1.49% with PenFed but the wait on the car made the loan go stale. As soon as the VIN popped up I got word from the dealer that the 0.9% rate was also being offered on the M2 so I went that route obviously over PenFed.
